Time for Us to Shine

Gone are the days of shrinking away to invisibility after 40, 50, 60 or 90. On the contrary – it’s time for us to shine.

When I hear people, especially women say, “I’m too old” or “it’s too late for me”, it makes me sad.

It’s cultural conditioning and it can be an easy cop out.

I will be regularly adding stories of women – your age – who will inspire you to get out of bed in the morning.

Their stories of change, their advice, their warmth and joy will help you to see that we are very lucky to be part of this tribe.

We may not have grown up with the internet as our kids/nieces/neighbours have done. But we are getting the benefit from it now!

We are the first generation of women to go through midlife together with social media at hand.

That means menopause becomes easier, ageing becomes easier – because we’re sharing our stories.

Our tales – our life stories – define us. Our fine lines connect us.

Be encouraged to do something you’ve never done before.

What do you want to achieve or try but have been too scared or felt it was too late?
